Young Birders Club: Ulistac Natural Area
Join the Young Birders Club for a morning bird walk at the Ulistac Natural Area in Santa Clara along the Guadalupe river, where you can expect to see common year-round birds like Scrub-Jays and Anna's Hummingbirds, winter visitors such asTownsends and Yellow-rumped Warblers, and less common sightings of waterfowl, raptors, and other sparrow varieties. You might also spot colorful birds like Western Tanagers and Black-headed Grosbeaks among the eucalyptus and oak trees.
This trip is designed for young birders, but parents and siblings are welcome to attend. We welcome birders of all skill levels—whether you’ve been birding for years, or never picked up a pair of binoculars before, we’d love to bird with you! Loaner binoculars are available for participants.

Meet: On the east side of Lick Mill Blvd at the southern end of Ulistac
Directions: From 237, take the Great America Parkway exit and drive south a little less than a mile; Turn left on Tasman Drive; Drive about one mile and turn right on Lick Mill Blvd; Drive about a half mile to the meeting spot (on the east side of Lick Mill Blvd).
