Ulistac in February

Join us for a leisurely bird walk to look for songbirds, woodpeckers, raptors and wading birds. This urban open space with oak and riparian woodlands and seasonal wetlands contains the last 40 acres of natural, undeveloped land along the Guadalupe River in the city of Santa Clara. Park volunteers are continuing to remove invasive species and add California native plants making this place a rich urban sanctuary great for year-round birding.

Trip Difficulty: 2.0 miles, gravel, dirt, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, little or no elevation gain, some shade

Directions: From 237, take the Great America Parkway exit and drive south a little less than a mile; Turn left on Tasman Drive; Drive about one mile and turn right on Lick Mill Blvd; Drive about a half mile to the meeting spot (on the east side of Lick Mill Blvd). Latitude/Longitude: 37.40329, -121.95387
