Monte Bello Photo Walk

Visit this beautiful mixed habitat preserve near Skyline Ridge. Possible birds are Lazuli Bunting, Black-throated Gray Warbler, and Grasshopper Sparrow. This is primarily a photo walk although we will also practice our ear birding.

Trip Difficulty: 4 miles, moderate difficulty with considerable elevation gain.

Other Trip Notes: Be prepared, it can be cold, wet and foggy. Bring bug repellant.

Beginner Friendly, Intermediate Level Birding, Advanced Birding, Photowalk (primary purpose of outing is photography)

Meet: preserve parking lot

Directions: From I-280 in Los Altos Hills, exit Page Mill Rd and continue west for 7.1 miles. The preserve parking lot will be on your left. Latitude/Longitude: 37.325587, -122.178633

Facilities: pit toilet, limited cell phone service
