We'll plan the route based on the conditions, the birds, and the physical capability of the attendees. (Some routes offer flat walking; some are wheelchair-compatible; other routes feature stairs or uphill climbing.)

Meet: on Caribbean Drive by the trailhead, at 37.417672, -122.019018

(look for the bird nerds with binos, scopes, and birding-themed hats and tshirts)

Directions: From CA-237 in Sunnyvale, exit Lawrence Expy/Caribbean Dr. Continue onto Caribbean Dr. In 1.2 miles park along E Caribbean Dr (just past Borregas Ave). (We'll meet walk in to access the Bay Trail from here)

Parking: street parking, ADA compliant spots available, no fees. Please carpool, bike or take public transit if you can--to protect the environment, AND for practicality of parking.

Note that the City recently changed the parking--the public may no longer use the parking lot at the trailhead but must park on the street.

Public Transportation: The Borregas Light Rail Station and the bus stop at the intersection of Java Drive and Borregas Avenue are each 0.6 mile from the trailhead on West Caribbean Drive next to the parking area.

Facilities: porta-potty (usually unpleasant, so plan ahead!!!). No water source. No seating.
