Evening Birding at Rancho San Antonio (Cupertino)

Join us for a beginner-friendly evening birding trip through the easy trails in Rancho San Antonio Park. We will look for some of the resident woodland species like Oak Titmouse, Acorn Woodpecker, White-breasted Nuthatch; a variety of swallows that call the park home; and some spring migrants that might still be around like Western Tanager and Ash-throated Flycatcher. We'll also keep our ears open for birds like the Wrentit and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and eyes in the sky for raptors.

Trip Difficulty: 1 to 2 miles, packed-dirt trails, little or no elevation gain, some shade

Other Trip Notes: It may be sunny and warm during the start of the trip so bring your sun protection - hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. and water
